But the best part was the hosts: always welcoming and kind, flexible and attentive to details.

The Cornish Arms is a real treasure! This is a traditional fine dining pub-hotel combination, with both components fulfilling the highest standards. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very quiet (we couldn't heat the pub at all); ours had a hedgehog theme. Spent a peaceful and relaxing night in the very comfy bed. All the amenities are brand-new but well selected to reflect the historical character; nice decoration details. Check-in was smooth at the pub bar doubling as reception. Without reservation, we got a table in the restaurant downstairs, and the food was simply stunning, with local specialties reinterpreted by a splendid chef. The hotel is in the middle of the market town of Tavistock (with parking in back), just minutes away from a beautiful mountain view of Dartmoor (check out the sunset). Picked up lots of souvenirs in the local deli (around the corner) and farmers' market, all within walking distance.

Incredible location and lovely historic Inn
The hosts and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely old pub feel, it is aftrrall a historic Inn. The room was clean and very comfortable and breakfast was delicious.
The property was charming and rustic, and had everything we needed for our stay in Dartmoor. Wonderful location close to all attractions, and plenty of nearby villages/pubs for dinner. The breakfast was laid out beautifully in our room and was a delicious start to the day. The check in process was very easy and our hosts were friendly and welcoming, offering great advice for the local area. Would recommend Corndonford Farm to anyone visiting Dartmoor for a lovely English experience.
Amazing breakfast and very clean rooms! This is the best Innkeeper I have stayed in.
Tastefully renovated period property, rustic yet modern. Super comfortable beds (best sleep ever). Susie and Chris delightfully warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, absolutely charming couple. Use of the spacious kitchen to make the odd cup of tea (unusual for a B&B) if you happened to come back early from your trips during the day, and the use of the lovely seated area in the garden to enjoy a pre dinner drink. Lovely.
wonderful modern bedroom at the back of a historic Inn
Another good stay at Innkeeper's Collection. Room extremely clean and towels changed as per usual - on floor clean ones required. Breakfast is good value and enjoyed the use of the carvery. Added to our places to stay list.
A lovely rustic cottage in the pretty village of Brendon. The beds were comfy and the facilities adequate. It was nice to find a little bottle of milk in the fridge upon arrival. The sofa's were comfy and features like the slate floor were really nice. It is great being so close to the Stag Hunters Inn where we had a nice dinner one evening.
The historic Inn, location and room were fantastic. The facilities, breakfast and evening meal were exceptional and the staff couldn’t do enough for us.
