Set in the village of Broadclyst on the outskirts of Exeter, Red Lion provides a garden. Located around 7 km from Sandy Park Rugby Stadium, the inn is also 6 km away from Westpoint Arena. I was immediately welcomed by all the staff, very friendly all. I loved that it was a small, warm and cozy country inn. Amazing full English breakfast with other options too. Nice pub downstairs too.

Situated in Tavistock, Among the various facilities are a shared lounge and a bar. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk. At the inn, the rooms are fitted with a desk and a TV. The Cornish Arms is a real treasure! This is a traditional fine dining pub-hotel combination, with both components fulfilling the highest standards. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very quiet (we couldn't heat the pub at all); ours had a hedgehog theme. Spent a peaceful and relaxing night in the very comfy bed. All the amenities are brand-new but well selected to reflect the historical character; nice decoration details. Check-in was smooth at the pub bar doubling as reception. Without reservation, we got a table in the restaurant downstairs, and the food was simply stunning, with local specialties reinterpreted by a splendid chef. The hotel is in the middle of the market town of Tavistock (with parking in back), just minutes away from a beautiful mountain view of Dartmoor (check out the sunset). Picked up lots of souvenirs in the local deli (around the corner) and farmers' market, all within walking distance.

The Dartmoor Inn at Lydford has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Lydford. Located around 20 km from Morwellham Quay, the inn with free WiFi is also 25 km away from Launceston Castle. A very clean room with great facilities. Very friendly staff and great food and drink. Just around the back you can walk straight into a number of lovely walks.

Set in Newton Abbot, 7.7 km from Newton Abbot Racecourse, Dartmoor Halfway Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. the restaurant/pub was comfortable, clean and the staff Louise and Jack were lovely! friendly and welcoming. the room was well appointed, quiet and clean! Lovely linens/comfy bed!

Situated on the banks of the River Dart, The Steam Packet Inn offers a restaurant and free WiFi access. The historic town centre of Totnes is just a 5-minute walk away. Excellent, location, great food and drink and welcoming staff. Ideal place to sit with a cider in the sun next to the river Dart. A short walk will take you to the river ferry that takes you into Dartmouth for the day. We are going back in July.

Offering a 1 AA Rosette restaurant, The Cricket Inn is located in Beesands near Kingsbridge. Free WiFi access is available and free public parking is possible on site. The G&T's and delicious dinner. Also the view from our room.

Around 1 mile east of Dartmoor National Park, The Cridford Inn in Trusham offers comfortable en-suite rooms. It was a little gem and great to stay in such a historic place. But most importantly the staff were very welcoming & even though we were delayed arriving provided us with a wonderful meal and looked after us very well.
