Located in just a minute's walk from JR Bungo-Taketa Station, Taketa Ekimae Hostel cue is a renovated wooden accommodation. A garden and terrace are offered for guests' interaction. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. Me and my wife absolutely loved staying at this traditional Japanese house. And although traditional, the house is very well renovated, comfortable, and clean. The room was cosy, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. I intend to return to Taketa while travelling around Kyushu and I will definitely stay again at this Hostel Cue!

They came to pick us up, and dropped us off the next day at the train station. We were offered a tea with cookies at our arrival, and they informed us about a local festival happening this night. The room and facilities were super neat and clean. Would 100% recommend.

The dorm was under construction so they let me stay in a private double room and it was a beautiful Japanese style one, with tatami and a Mt Fuji paint. The hostel was in lo-fi style, very cool common aerea with low music. The kitchen was well equipped. The reception was at the beautiful café, vintage style where some days you could have dinner as well. I had some fried potatoes with egg and cheese and it was good. The staff was very friendly and available to give suggestions about places to see and where to eat, and they could speak a good English. The hostel was close to both bus and train station.

Situated in downtown Beppu, International Inn KOKAGE is an old establishment but offers clean and simple Japanese-style rooms. It features free Wi-Fi throughout the property. I love this place. near station and town. you can walk around and use private onsen with limit 30mins. But it is enough. old ladies who take care here is very nice. have really good sleep here.

日本旅館 松亀荘 is located in Beppu, within 20 km of Oita Bank Dome and 12 km of Oita Station. The property is around 23 km from Kinrinko Lake, 2.4 km from B-Con Plaza and 2.6 km from Beppu Park. Location was great and room was very comfy. We love the Japanese style ryokan. The facility also has its own onsen and laundromat machines so everything was quite convenient.
