The owner Camilo was really sweet and welcome me with a smile AND some nice coffee. He is also really knowledgeable about the area so ask him for recommendations about restaurants and activities. If I had more time I would have loved to spend 1-2 nights more!

This place is best to stay if you are looking for a stay as clean as your house and a calmness. The host, Lina, is incredibly helpful and smiley. Lina tries her very best to make you feel like home. From rooms to bathrooms, kitchen to common area everything is so clean, incredibly clean. It is in Belen/Laurales, very close to shopping center and restaurants also right in front of the place there is a super market, 10m apart there is an another supermarket. You can cook your own stuff in the kitchen all utensils are enough. By walk or uber to get to La 70 to party area. The hostel itself is very calm, you will not be bothered by the sound. It is located on the main street at the corner but not where is the busy traffic area. Rooms are very efficient with mirror and TV. Everything is very comfortable. You can access netflix in the common area and internet connection is very strong. There is a nice balcony that you can chill and they provide laundry service. If I come back to Medellin this is where I am gonna stay over and over again. I was supposed to stay here for one night, ended up staying four nights. Lina took me and some guests to Salsa party it was delightful.If you are looking for a good stay, here is the place!

The swimming pool was refreshing, the girls working there, suuuper friendly and caring, the location was also perfect, really close to the main square, but in a calm street, the breakfast was really good, and the dogs were the cherry on the cake for this place. Thanks a lot!

Casa Kayam Hostal y Residencia Artística is set in Guatapé in the Antioquia Region. This property features a unique experience, each room will provide guest with a sensory theme. Guest will be able to enjoy common areas such a music room, recording studio, and chill out room inside a Colombian typical bus (chiva), a retro gaming station, a skate board ramp, slack line and BBQ. I ended up staying one more night in the hostel for the people and the beautiful place. I felt very safe. If you have a lot of luggage I advise just taking a TukTuk to get there. Without stuff we walked to town several times.
