That was the best hostel I've been to in Japan! The owner (who is SO NICE) was/ is a traveler too and you see that! Everything is well organized and has everything you need as a backpacker. the rooms are big and so comfortable. The kitchen/ lobby was amazing and the food/ coffee in the Café was delicious. I would definitely come back and never stay somewhere else.

The facility was complete in basic necessities. It only has 3 floors which is nice and won't have a hard time carrying luggage. The staff was very accommodating and provides good and delicious breakfast. The location is good and lots of things to do and to eat around the area.

Set in Nagoya and within 1.8 km of Nagoya Station, Usatsuno Osu features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The property is around 2.7 km from Oasis 21, 3.9 km from Nagoya Castle and 4.3 km from Aeon Mall Atsuta. Toyota Stadium is 29 km from the hostel and Koran Valley is 47 km away.

My stay in this charming guesthouse was more than perfect. The place is a 20min walk from the station and is very close to the Osu shopping area. The places are clean and the beds are of very good quality. Many services are available (loan towel, quiet ball, water fountain) It is also possible to have a homemade breakfast (for a fee) made by the manager which is really delicious. And now, let’s talk about the managers of this place who are very kind. The manager speaks a little French and the two people speak English. They give very good advice on activities to do in Nagoya. Always available and ready to help if we need them. Thank you very much for that! I recommend 100% and if the opportunity arises to travel to Nagoya I will return to this guesthouse without any hesitation! 😃

Set in Nagoya and with Nagoya Station reachable within 3.1 km, ゲストハウスよるよなか offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. The property is around 3.2 km from Oasis 21, 3.2 km from Aeon Mall Atsuta and 4.3 km from Nagoya Castle. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and luggage storage space for guests.

All units in the hostel are fitted with a kettle. Featuring a shared bathroom with a bidet and a hairdryer, some units at ゲストハウスよるよなか also feature a balcony. All guest rooms feature bed linen.

The beds were comfy, everything was kept clean and the building is beautiful inside. It looks like a renovated house. It is above a bar of some sort but it wasn't loud and didn't seem to be open past 9 or 10. There are numerous small restaurants, cafes and bakeries in the area as well.

A slightly unusual small inn in a downtown shopping street near Nagoya Station.

Opened in April 2015. Located in Endoji Shopping Street, one of the oldest shopping streets in Nagoya, this is a slightly unusual inn that has been renovated from a coffee shop with a history of nearly 100 years and an electric shop.

The japanese style room was absolutely gorgeous, and one of the workers at Nagonoya was super helpful and went above and beyond! I needed to make a reservation at a specific restaurant that's hard to get one at and I didn't have a japanese phone number so she made the call for me and managed to get me one despite their reluctance without a phone #. I'm just really sad we didn't get to see her again to say thank you since we got back late and checked out early before they opened. 電話でレストランの予約をして手伝ってくれて本当にありがとうございました!!超感謝しています!次回名古屋に旅行するとまた「なごのや」でステイして嬉しくなります。

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location, very helpful people, I had a bunk bed which was like a capsule, they have a washing machine and dryer to use for a small fee, I was able to drop my bag off, check in was easy, the bed and everything was super clean. They run a cafe as well and I was sad that I didn't leave enough time to eat here. The location is fantastic, just 15 minutes from Nagoya castle I highly recommend visiting. Loads of shops and restaurant around. Looked like a great place to hang out.

Great location as the hostel is very close to Nagoya station. We really loved the feature of opening a "window" to your neighbour/partner, which you can request while booking 2 capsules. It was really clean and the showers and toilets worked great. Great value for money!

Great location! Convenient near the station, super cheap price for how nice the rooms were! Genuinely exceeded our expectations, lovely clean rooms with a bunch of movie options. My bro and I found a really nice katsu place just down the road which was great.

During my stay at Glocal Nagoya Backpackers Hostel, I was grateful that I was placed near the window, providing ample space for luggage organization. The reliable wifi in the pantry area was convenient for staying connected. Above all, the exceptional hospitality of Icchan, the owner, made me feel welcomed and at home throughout my stay. I highly recommend this place for its cozy atmosphere and personal touch.

One of my best hostel experiences in Japan! The staff was super nice and made me feel at home. The cafe downstairs was very cozy and the staff there was also very nice. The rooms were comfortable, but there weren't a lot of beds per room (I had 2 bunk beds) so if you make good friends with your roommates, it's almost like you're back at summer camp. The kitchen was well equipped and was a nice meeting place to talk to other guests. Thank you for having me!
