Pat and Lyn were very welcoming and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and have amazing views of the mountains. When our 2wd rental struggled to get in and out on the road Pat & Lyn were extremely accommodating, shuttling us to and from our car.

Newstead Farm is located 2.3 km from Curry’s Post and 21 km from Nelson Mandela Capture Site. Karkloof Nature Reserve is a 51 km drive away and Maloti-Drakensberg Park is 59 km from the property. The cottage location was pretty, looking out into the fields. We loved seeing the horses and cows outside our windows - and one day saw a monkeys! The beds were comfortable and cozy with the electric blankets. The kitchenette was well stocked, appreciated the fresh milk and rusks and crunchie biscuits! And nougat. So thoughtful!

Berghouse and Cottages is situated in a rural setting, high up in the Northern Drakensberg Hills, 30 km from Bergville. Free WiFi is available in each cottage. Loved how quiet and isolated the place was. Amazing views. Beautiful food. Really accommodating staff. Pool was gorgeous. Huts were lovely. Miniature horses were fun
