Hilton Garden Inn was close to MCRD Parris Island and offered decent resources for the stay there in the area. Hotel sits off of the main city street or road in the woods next to a river or body of water. At night the front of the hotel has adequate lighting however the back where parking and an entrance into the hotel is available offers complete darkness with homeless and other would-be stragglers, vagrants standing around outside on the sidewalk and street corner. This does not offer confidence or a sense of being safe at all. Now we had a safe, and quiet time while we were there at this facility. Also, there are a lot of restaurants right there by Hilton Garden Inn just a mile or less i.e., Outback, Moe's Southwest Grill, Longhorn Steak House, Red Rooster Cafe, Dos Amigos Mexican, Saltus River Grill, and Bricks on The Boundary just to name a few. Overall, our stay here at Hilton Garden Inn was acceptable, adequate, and appreciated.
This South Carolina hotel, located within 3 miles of Waterfront Park and Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, features an outdoor pool. Guest rooms offer flat-screen cable TVs and free Wi-Fi.

The hotel was great but my exceptional rating is because of the staff and especially the assistant manager, Sharnice Thomas, who helped me deal with a complicated billing issue (something I had caused through having made multiple bookings and cancellations). At all times, she was highly professional, personable, and knowledgeable as she calmly worked through the issue. It eased the stress I had been feeling and made the rest of my stay and my trip overall so much more enjoyable. I am very grateful for her support and hope she is commended for her efforts.

Like most coastal towns Beaufort has grown fast.
With one main road in and out Beaufort traffic can be heavy. We experienced gridlock on one occasion and learned not to be on the road during peak times. There was still parking downtime in city lots but getting harder to move around.
Beaufort is still a nice place just would like to go back maybe 10 or so years. May look for a smaller place to vacation later in the year with less traffic and fewer folks..
Still a couple of local places like Shrimp Shack but losing most Mom and Pop shops which loses a lot of local charm. Getting to look more like other towns with clearing land and loss of trees. Losing Oaks for Walmart is not OK.

Very cute town seemingly full of tourists.
Very cute town seemingly full of tourists. The waterfront park is a highlight, my child loved the park and we had a great lunch at Luther's. We felt very safe and there are public restrooms by the park which is always a plus! I didn't travel to the beach, so I'm not sure how far it is.

Beaufort itself is great.
Beaufort itself is great. It's a small town but getting more and more crowded every day. So, if you want to go, go now. Don't wait too many years. In the city itself, there's not much room for expansion.

It's grown from the sleepy little town it was when I was stationed there late 70s early 80s. Still nice place to visit and the people are down to earth good people. Loved Port Royal & wetlands, downtown Beaufort busy, car congestion, but nice views from the water's edge.

A quiet little town like most cities USA.
A quiet little town like most cities USA. Surrounded by water, lakes rivers, and ocean so there are more than a few bridges to cross. A decent number of hotels, and restaurants to serve all of those who visit this city while attending a week of Marine Recruit Graduation.
At least 20,000 Marine Recruits attend the training there at Parris Island so approximately 2000 family members attend graduation three times monthly so the city of Port Royal, and Beaufort should obtain grants to cater to all walks of life Americans who come to shelter, lodge, eat, shop, and fill up with gas, as often as this for our Military population.
This adds up to approximately 40,000 family members of 20,000 Marine Recruits who visit as a result of ONE REASON, MCRD PARRIS ISLAND, SC!! Quite The Economic Powerhouse I Would Say!!

Beaufort is a beautiful town.
Beaufort is a beautiful town. Please tell me Bookings.com is really serious about paper straws over plastic. They are more toxic than plastic. All the coffee stuff is wrapped in plastic. The soap containers are plastic. Water bottles are plastic. It makes me sick to see the total hypocrisy by Woke idiot managers of companies like Bookings. Will never use you idiots again.
We stayed here for my son’s US Marine Corps graduation week. The apartment is tucked away in historic downtown Beaufort. It’s spacious and private, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Short walking distance to the waterfront and all of the downtown shops and restaurants. And it was only a 20 minute drive to the Parris Island base. We loved it, and would definitely stay again when we’re in the area! Definitely recommend for a quiet family get-away, or if you’re visiting Parris Island fir USMC graduation.
We loved this property. We are from Louisiana and it felt like we were home with the brick and wrought iron balconies! The staff was incredibly accommodating and always kind! I love that someone was available 24/7 as well! It was great to have several restaurants/ bars within walking distance! Love the view of the marina and boats! Last but certainly not least… the sun rises and sunsets on the water are AMAZING! I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Beaufort!
The room was clean . We had a refrigerator that did not work and it was immediately replaced when we called the front desk . The gentleman who replaced it was very respectful and quit in getting it done .
All the ladies at the front desk were smiling , they always spoke to us and the lobby was always clean and smelled good.
We will definitely stay here again when we come this way . My Son lives in Charleston SC so we travel in this area a lot . God bless
We didn’t need keys, place had a door code so it was very easy to enter. The location was great, very convenient to downtown Beaufort. The owners Duncan & Jackie were so accommodating & accessible. The place was very neat, clean & beautiful! They had a gift bag for us with coffee &, English biscuits. We loved staying there.
The property is very close to downtown and the trailer was so nicely decorated, up to date style, and very comfortable! The kids loved watching the animals that live on the property. The check-in and check-out was so easy and with no stress. Will use this again when we visit Beaufort!
I loved EVERYTHING about the Property. It was EXCELLENT well maintained and the staff WAS FRIENDLY AND VERY NICE. I will definitely refer Family and Friends to Tru by Hilton. I was very very Impressed by my Visit. I would give this hotel 100% all across the board.
Loved the “neighborhood” feel of the numerous room locations within remodeled single family dwellings clustered together and connected by walking paths and courtyards. The staff was most helpful and we loved the availability of pet friendly accommodations.
Well-appointed, comfortable, clean, and perfectly sized for our group of eight. Within walking distance to downtown Beaufort and a great base for a weekend in the SC Lowcountry. Really wonderful value.
Very nice and spacious room. Great bathroom. Quiet.
Good breakfast selection. Spacious seating.
Really good gym, well maintained equipment.
Hotel was very clean, friendly staff.
Free parking.
Great charm and very comfortable.
Small things like having coffee available, comfy outdoor seating areas and fire pits for the supplied smors were an added bonus
Best bathroom I have ever been in.
