Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your hotel. The hotel is of the highest standard, the rooms and the view from them are the best I have ever seen. The gentlemen from the reception and the restaurant made every effort to make your stay at the hotel unforgettable. I recommend the best hotel in Selka.

matrass quality was not that good to sleep on a day before a big ultra run, and for the days to recover.
room temperature was also way to high around 24 25 °C while it was much cooler outside. even with the windows open it wouldnt cool down, and the air circulation system did not work while windows were closed.

Lovely seaside small town. Walkable and bikeable streets.
Lovely seaside small town. Walkable and bikeable streets. A few beaches nearby. Amazing restaurant strip on the seashore. Family friendly activities during the day. Day trips by boat to see dolphins. Friendly locals. A few older churches and bell tower, all free to visit. Not bustling, more of a relaxed vibe. Gorgeous views of the sea. A great day trip, or to stay for 2-3 nights. Bring a car but be prepared to pay for hourly parking by the sea as street parking is difficult (1.5 euro/hr, 31 euro 24 hrs).

Unfortunately we had terrible weather so our experience is not indicative of the norm. Umag appears to be the ideal place for families and tennis players. Lots of recreational activities (snorkeling, playing courts, rental for jet skis, ATVs etc.). There are walking & cycling paths along the built-up parts of the coastline from Katoro to Umag, but these are very crowded. There is a lot of bustle (and traffic) in the area even though there is a "mini train" to get around the various resorts. This is the place to go with other people to do stuff outdoors, and not to seek peace and quiet.

It's a good place for couples, but I'm glad I didn't bring my kids. Most beaches are super rocky and are not developed for families. Could use more varied cuisine, but pretty area and close to many wonderful wineries and olive oil makers. Locals are friendly. One resort seems to own the whole town and is obnoxiously big and intrusive

Umag is a very nice and small place, so you can go anywhere by walk. Prices in restaurants are totally fair. I’m suggesting you to visit Sea Star Festival, one of the biggest in that part of Croatia. Prices in stores are way too high.
The people at the reception were doing their very best to be as helpful as possible. And I did have some strange requests(like would you give me a waste bag no less than 60liters now 'cause I forgot to buy one). Or a lovely lunch box they gave me 'cause I had to check out at 2AM.
The location was great for me - seems like the hotel has connections with the trail run organisation and there was a shuttle every 30 minutes to the trail start location.
It is a big Apartment complex with a lot of facilities. We had a great time with 12 family members. The staff ensured that we were in the same house and even provided some free upgrades, as some apartments were not ready when we arrived. There are different beaches sandy, rocky, or concrete (for whatever reason), and a big pool in the complex. There is a "bus-train" service to the old town with great options to eat some Croatian-Italian food.
We loved absolutely everything and can only recommend this beautiful apartment. The apartment is clean, new, well furnished, with excellent accessibility, the hosts are very nice, their approach is very personal (we received several recommendations regarding traveling in the area and some tips for great restaurants). We would definitely like to come back here in the future. Waking up with a view of the sea is so amazing! Thank you Alen&Zrinka
Great location, near everything, with cafes and restaurants next door. Free parking. Great view from apartment. Luxury furniture and amenities. Comfortable apartment with everything we needed. Friendly host. Our daughter had a little accident at the beach, and the host, who’s also a medical doctor, helped us immediately and with no extra charge. We found our new favorite place in Umag.
Apartment is located in very silent area, walking distance (10minutes) to city center and the port.
The place was very clean and the host is very friendly.
Every each apartment has a parking space.
Very close to the apartment is wine shop, market and of course restaurant.
This is.very good location to visit other valuable places in Istia on Croatia side, but also in Slowenia.
When I close my eyes, we are still there!,
very good hotel, nicely arranged, enough parking, great meals, and that swimmingpool . ;- )
Also nice animation program for children. If you have kids, dont look any further, just book it!
When you do not have kids, choose the sol hotel next to it.
Walking distance to center (5 minutes). Free parking places 200m away. Very spacious rooms. Fully equipped kitchen although red wine glasses missing 😀
Very responsive and polite owner. No elevator but it is only 2 floors over ground. A solid 10 for this price.
Perfect owners, who welcome you and give useful tips and advices as to where to eat and what to do. Highly advisable for a stay near Umag as you are in the countryside but can reach the town in a couple of minutes by car.
Extremely beautiful home with excellent accommodation and very very helpful hosts. Croatia at its very best. The whole family enjoyed the stay very much and I would highly recommend to family and friends.
Hotel and Restaurant Zlatna Vala was very nice.
My single sleeping room was a bit small but all was OK. Breakfast was very good and the the staff on site was very friendly and helpful.
Location is great, just on the beach and walking distance to small city of Umag. Pool area is big enough, with seats and umbrellas. Interior of the hotel is very fresh.
