Staff were friendly. It looked like someone had urinated all over the elevator or spilt coffee during the night and when I brought it to their attention they quickly had it cleaned.

We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier.
We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier. Also there was some good outlet shopping and mall shopping. Since it was only late April, a number of attractions were not open yet. Also, most places were dog friendly and staff came out to say “bring your dog in”. But we would suggest signage indicating dog friendly or not. ( A simple sign on each entrance to malls, for example.). We had our own car, so easy to get around, and no problem to find parking.

Surprisingly there were a lot of very good and high end restaurants. I was not expecting it during April. The 1000 island cruise was ok but not really something that you “must do” or experience. Recommended you take the ferry to Wolf Island (free) just for the ride (stay on and don’t get off at Wolf Island). The walking track along the river was a highlight. The trolly car was also worthwhile. You get to see a lot of the old buildings on the tour. Kingston history is fascinating. You can also go and walk around the University as well.

Kingston carries itself with the poise of a bigger city while remaining relatively small. Lots of Gothic Revival architecture for the art nerds (I include myself on that list) and a friendly atmosphere made Kingston a fun visit. Also some really good bars and restaurants for a town of its size. A worthwhile visit if traveling between Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.

There are great walking trails along the waterfront and the downtown area was less than 10 minute walking distance and felt safe in the evening. The shops were varied and there were plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs to choose from.

It is a very walkabout city. Waterfront trail is a lovely place to stroll. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the downtown core. Lovely architecture in the old residential section. A few historical sites to visit, although open only seasonally.
Worth a visit

The city of Kingston is so littered with homeless peoples garbage everywhere spray paint on almost every corner and a general public are smoking so much carfentanol and enphetameins and if that isnt enough Kingston possessed no family values from city council on down and the cheif of police is responsible for nothing but a 460 million dollar budget and the university students acue one million in fines annually for their wild parties
Rosemount Inn is a true gem. From the moment we arrived (and got access to facilities in order for my daughter to get ready for her graduation) to smooth check-in, to promptly getting ice for champagne everything was stellar. Room was elegant and spacious, bathroom was modern and main guest living room was so elegant and picture worthy. Furthermore Inn is located a short walking distance to downtown. I will definitely plan to stay there during my future trips to Kingston.
Good value for money. Location was good... Right across Queens University and a very short drive to downtown waterfront. Rooms were basic but clean and water pressure is good. Microwave in the common area and a small table to eat breakfast with friends. There is a stove but no cooking/eating utensils and no dishwashing soap so take note if you plan on having a bite there. There is a bread toaster though. And free coffee in the lobby downstairs
We booked at short notice for one night and we were happy to find a fridge, TV, aircon, and coffee making equipment in our clean room. We could open a small window but chose to close it so we couldn't hear traffic noise and the occasional train noise. The bed was comfortable. It's only a 10 minute drive along Princess St to downtown Kingston and the lake from the hotel. Recommended!
Excellent location; downtown and the harbour are within walking distance. The building is a beautiful old-style villa with lots of character. The young lady at the reception was very friendly. As the kitchen was under renovation, we received a boxed breakfast in the morning. This breakfast was delicious and of high quality. I would stay in this hotel again.
Hotel was ok, but it seems newer from outside than inside. Shower curtain was dirty and I'm not sure the bathroom had been cleaned. Room was small for 2 queen beds and they were not the comfiest. It's about 20 minutes from downtown Kingston so not ideal. Price was reasonable but next time I'll spend a bit more and stay elsewhere.
Staff were very helpful. The pet-friendliness of the hotel was very appreciated, as was travelling with my dog.
Room, especially bathroom, looked recently updated. Shower was good.
Tons of parking. Proximity to Queens West campus (about 5 minutes) and close to downtown.
Although the location is a little out of downtown Kingston (10 minutes by car) I would absolutely stay here again. The staff were exceptional, rooms spacious, and the whole property was immaculately clean.
This was my second time staying at this hotel. The staff was lovely! Both check-in and check-out were quick and efficient.
The room was spacious and clean.
very comfortable and close enough to downtown
Staff very friendly ,very clean and the price was right.Free breakfast a great bonus plus coffee Cannot really say anything negative about this hotel and tea 24/7 is nice.Five minutes to downtown .
The room and the location of the hotel was perfect, we had come to Kingston for the first time as my son will be joining Queens University, so found the location and hotel excellent.
Everything else was amazing, compared to hotels in Kingston that are more expensive, St Lawrence is way cleaner, more comfortable and in a great location
