The most positive part was the host, Suneth. He picked me up from the Kandy train station, helped me plan my trip over a friendly banter in the evening, he drove me to a venue that I wanted to go for a very reasonable price (just the fuel cost). The house was well kept and comfortable. He even gave me a lift to the bus station on my last day ensuring I get to my next destination in time. Highly recommend this homestay.

The house is a bit of a climb from the town, but you get rewarded with a great view and you can even see the Buddha statue from the terrace. Not many hotels where you are encouraged to wander in the kitchen to watch dinner being prepared. And yes, the food is excellent.
