Daniel at the reception was very responsive to emails prior to our arrival. He would immediately respond and truly went above and beyond! The entire staff at the hotel was superb! We had an incredible experience and treated us like royalty. Highly recommend.

Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. The staff were so helpful and our dog Ted was made very welcome. Beautiful location and the hotel facilities were very modern & clean.

Amazingly nice staff, beautiful property, and the most delicious breakfast you can imagine. Dinners in the restaurant were excellent too. Great location for exploring Douro Valley as well. We are dreaming of going back!

Both Christiana and Manuel were more than perfect hosts. The rooms are of exquisite beauty and extremelly clean. Breakfast was delicious, especially the home made cakes and pastries. Amazing, I just fell in love with this place. Very good breakfast with such incredible view. When we were there the temperature was above 40 degrees, so to order room with pool was a great idea. The area around is very beautiful and calm. There are few cities not far away, wine testing you can find almost everywhere. We spent in Portugal 2 weeks, but this place was the best, I highly recommend it to everyone.
