Carters Rest Guesthouse in Milovaig provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge with large sofas and a fireplace. We were at Carters Rest Guesthouse for 4 nights. Everything about our stay was just perfect: starting the day with a delicious breakfast served at the table and with the best view ever, we got precious tipps where to go to from Simone and Jonathan, we stayed in a beautiful bedroom with a supercosy bed! And at the top: what can be better to finish a wonderful hiking day with a light and healthy dinner and then go in the sauna to view the stunning sunset?! Simone and Jonathan red every wish from our eyes and fulfilled every single one :) Everything in CRG is made with a lot of love, calmness and with an eye for the beautiful things, so we felt really at home. A perfect place to relax and just enjoy. Thank you so much, Simone, Jonathan, Emma and Molly for your hospitality and the wonderful birthday surprise - we had an absolutely stunning time with you!

Kitchen was complete and we easily warmed up or cooked our meals- which we preferred rather than trying to find a place to eat or park in town. The home is located in Staffin, about 20 mins drive from Portree- we loved the privacy, the views of the seating areas, the options to eat outside or inside. Absolutely completed our stay. In terms of attractions, we didn’t realise Skye was such a large island. But there are many many places to explore in the North End: Old Man Storr is a 10 minute drive, the Quirang is your backyard (15 min drive to parking), brother’s point is a 10 minute walk. Apart from that, all other spots require a drive- 1 hour to fairy pools or Uig, 90 mins to Dunvegan… The photos don’t do this place justice! The property itself is lovely, proving ocean views on end and mountains on the other.

Would highly recommend this place as the location is ideal since Broadford also has good food places and cute wee shops and a food store a wee walk away.
